Bananas for pounds

THE DIET DUSTIN AND I TOLD YOU THAT THE JAPANESE ARE GOING BANANA'S FOR THIS MORNING

We're just waiting for someone to tell us this is a hoax. Apparently the Japanese are going ga-ga over the Morning Banana Diet. They're so crazy for the diet there's a banana shortage in Japan. The Morning Banana Diet regime is simple: A banana (or as many as you want) and room temperature water for breakfast; eat anything you like for lunch and dinner (by 8pm). A three o'clock snack is okay, but no desserts after meals, and you have to go to bed before midnight. A pharmacist in Osaka designed the diet to help increase the metabolism of her husband, who had become overweight. Morning Banana Diet books published since March have sold over 730,000 copies.... It's interesting to note that the diet became huge after an opera singer who weighs more than 200 pounds announced on TV that she'd lost 15 pounds in six weeks. Anyone who watches The Biggest Loser knows if you've got that kind of weight, 15 pounds in six weeks is very doable on any sort of diet. No on in Japan seems to care because Dole has increased its banana imports to Japan by more than 25% -- and there's still a shortage...
