Please take it from a former child who knows what it's like to wake up in a house where you would sometimes have to stir water into powder to make "milk". Save your money and stop shopping blindly!
Who cares that you may keep people in line too long so the cashier can scan your plethora of coupons or that you keep someone waiting while you calculate the "5 for 4" deal over your $2.00 off coupon?
These tactics will save you money! So please,go to the grocery store with a plan.Look at labels, bring your calculator and a list.
More often than not you will end up seeing huge price differences for items that are nearly identical! Case in point:
Pilgrims Pride "fajita breast strips" $5.99.Foster Farms exactly-the-same but-named"chicken breast grilled strips" $8.99!! That's $3.00 towards the kid's college fund.Would you throw $3.00 in the trash?I took one out of each 20oz bag as proof.
(one example of thousands that you can find if you just look! You can do this!)
If you have the time it's even CHEAPER to buy, grill, and then freeze a raw breast. That's how I normally roll :) Until I start having more food prepping hours in my life surviving days,I vow to find the least expensive options in my current bag buying ways...
