There isn't a better time for this event than right now.Maybe you've been laid off or like me,maybe your husband is unemployed. You have NO idea what you are going to do,but you need SOMETHING or SOMEONE to point you in the right direction. The Bakersfield Women's business conference has been motivating local women for the past 20 years. This coming Thursday the speakers and workshops will do it again.Don't be fooled, this is not some big feminist event where we go to shut out "the men"(as I heard one misinformed radio host say a few years ago..Dummy). It's an event that is as much about empowering yourself as it is to laughing at some of the crazy feelings we have as women. You are never going to know if you don't go.Click or paste the link below to register while there is still time.Tell them Rachel and Dustin at KGFM said that you get a discount on your ticket and you will!

Rachael,
I just found out that my niece will be a part of your speaking audience at this event.I have been in attendance every year for the last 12 years! I am no longer a part of my sisters life but her daughter (the niece I am talking about) has grown into a wonderful young leader despite her circumstances with her mom.I have listened to your show every day for 15 years and am so happy that you have a step-daughter.I have heard you talk about your life struggles and the pain of not being able to have a baby as well as the false "starts" and the costs associated with getting "help" in that area.I know your pain girl,I too have not been able to have any children of my own and the hole is,well...you know.At least you have this chance with your step-daughter Kylie (I can tell she is the apple of your eye).My husband and I pray for you and your man every night.I can't wait until Lauren hears you speak. You are a powerful motivator. The night I heard you at the women's club and again with Rotary are etched in my soul.I admire you so much.Thank you for always sharing your stories and being so damn real. With love and admiration,Claire and Daniel Stewart
PS..We knew your grandparents,Ralph and Irma and they loved you very much.!!
Claire,
Wow.I wished I had seen this the day you wrote it.I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond.Funny thing is,today is Mother's Day and I was just thinking about my grandma and for all the incredible things you wrote it was the P.S that made the tears fall:) Thank you so much for your kind words. You have no idea what they meant to me.Every time I read or hear someone tell me that they "got" something out of hearing me speak or even took something away from the radio one morning it let's me know I'm on the right path.Thank you again,Rach
