Did you make a decision to have a child? Well guess what...you're responsible for making sure that human being gets fed.
KGET Ch.17 got a call from a mom who was apparently irate that her 11-year old was "embarassed" after being sent to the office because SHE and HER HUSBAND were delinquent on their child's lunch account. This mom blames the school.
I just wonder why it doesn't occur to her that SHE AND HER HUSBAND need to pay closer attention to their child's lunch account so he isn't "embarassed" for their mistake?Instead she calls a television station to investigate.I cannot for the life of me figure out how to link this video but all you need to do is copy and paste it to your browser bar ( a browser bar is the thing at the very top that has this blog name in it right now.Don't laugh..not everyone knows what a "browser bar" is..lol)
She obviously isn't destitute as you can see by the iphone and pretty decent SUV among some other apparent attributes....

My favorite has been when they blame things like McDonald's for making their kids fat. It's like, how do they go there in the first place?
I at McDonald's every Sunday with my family when we were little.
But almost every Friday after school and Saturday morning, we played dodgeball and softball and kickball.
I would have to eat McDonald's everyday to get fat and not work out.
Some parents should not be having kids and good for you for putting this irresponsible mother on blast.
Maybe next time she will be responsible.
Good post and amen to your comments!
I must have some special powers because here's a good one!
Here's a story about the parents of fat kids blaming the taco truck for the weight, even though the truck doesn't sell to minors between 7am -9pm.

***Hello High Society,Thanks for commenting on my blog post. The thing I love about blogs is that they don't have to be neutral! After we talked about the story on air we had several parents call in and only one of them (out of 18) agreed with the parent in the story.Your McDonald's analogy was right on,especially the follow-up with the taco truck!

***Richard,
Thank you for your comment.Your words always mean alot to me.I've had the pleasure of working with your daughter and she is a shining example of good parenting!I was only around her for a few hours but in that time (before I even knew you were her dad) I could see that she had the proper guidance in life. Kudos to good parents!!!
