Even when they go to war it always comes as a shock to hear that someone you cared about has died.I saw it with my own eyes today when I told my husband that a friend he'd known his whole life was killed in Baghdad a few days ago.

Maj.Jason George and two other soldiers fighting in Operation Iraqi Freedom were on foot patrols in a part of the world most of us will never see. While the investigation into their deaths continues we do know that George (who grew up in Tehachapi) and his fellow soldiers were killed by some sort of improvised explosive device worn by a suicidal murderer(bomber..murderer,what's the difference?).George was an Army Reservist assigned to the 252nd Combined Arms Battalion, Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Our thoughts are always with the families of those who lose their beloved in this war for peace. While it is obvious by his title that Jason had an incredible military career Jake could only say (while sucking in his breath and holding back emotion) "Really?,Jase? Why did they have him on a foot patrol? He was pretty high up the military command chain.Damn it! He was "our" kicker(Tehachapi Warriors 86-87),he always cheered me on the sideline,he was simple, uncomplicated and had no quarrel with life".."Wow,I loved that guy..that sucks!..He was Italicjust this good human being,ya know"?

Yeah,we know.

That's sad. In this bitter war that many American's don't care about, friends and family pass into the ether. I hope he is remembered well.
