The annual Standing Bear Pow Wow..
The annual Standing Bear Pow Wow was held at Bakersfield College this past weekend.It must have been a success because I couldn't find parking for almost a half an hour! If I had been on my own I would've parked and walked a mile but I had my little step-daughter with me. Sadly my camera battery died before I could get a more diverse group of pictures,but here are the few I did take. (Mostly of my dad)..

Great pitcures. So what is the Indian blood in your fam rach?
Totally valid question Richard and I have been trying to get the "correct" story for years.As far as I know, my dad's side of the family are ancestors of the Cherokee and Blackfoot tribes.That is the short answer.
Thankfully your inquiry has prompted a closer look at the origins of our bloodline. Fascinating characters,my family.
